Nepal gets new Prime Minister

Sharma Oli was on Sunday elected as the next Prime Minister of Nepal
defeating incumbent Sushil Koirala .In
voting held in Parliament here, CPN-UML chairman Oli garnered 338 votes,
39 more than the 299 that he needed to be elected as the prime minister
while Nepali Congress president Koirala could only secure 249 votes.

Leninist, has been elected the new Prime Minister of Nepal.
Oli defeated the incumbent Prime Minister and Nepali Congress Chief Sushil Koirala by a huge margin. In the House of 597 members, Oli secured 338 votes against Koirala’s 249.
Koirala had resigned from the post yesterday following the provision of the newly introduced constitution that made the election of the Prime Minister mandatory within a week of the House being convened.
